You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” – Jim Rohn
Guest Whispering by Cynthia
To celebrate my big “Five -O” (50), I left at 5 am to meet the 5 that I would spend the next 5 hours with as we took a sunrise stroll on the beach.
I wasn’t concentrating on the fact that I am 50 as much as I was being aware of who I was spending this special time with:
an expert in the professional development field (my brother Brian), a yogi (Judy), my childhood best friend (Maisie), a Belgian Beauty (Kat) and … Brenda Lee.
A few weeks ago Maisie and I were talking about the Fab-5 (as I interpret Jim Rohn’s quote). She asked me who were the 5 on my list. I named the above 4 people & beast.
Yes, Thank-You, Next … we are now on the beach at sunrise!
As we walked the beach, I rode atop of Brenda Lee while Kylian (the most handsome Friesian I have ever met) followed closely behind.
I was 50 yards ahead of the other humans, as I noticed Brenda Lee’s ears twitching. She heard Judy singing, ever so slightly as the wind would hide it and then bring it back to our ears. Maisie followed along the shore picking up rocks and shells that have special meaning, while Brian and Kat enjoyed their own space.
I was grateful to be on Brenda Lee’s back, as she provided a nice warm spot in my safety chakra area. As we walked along the shore, swaying in her motion, I was warm and hypnotized as I practiced sitting grounded and breathing. I wanted to make sure that I enjoyed this moment, because I know what Brenda Lee is capable of teaching humans and I didn’t want to miss out on anything that she would deliver to me. I knew that she would deliver something to me, I just didn’t know what, so I waited.
I didn’t have an epiphany, if that’s what you are waiting to hear. I have been alongside Brenda Lee for many years, so I have been exposed to her magnificence many times. She is truly incredible and consistently amazes me but she does not shock me anymore. I expect it of her because I have learned about the beasts of nature from listening to Abraham – Esther Hicks, and from Brian who always interprets the natural laws that Brenda Lee lives by to me. Humans shock me, which is I why we have to be selective of the 5 we hang around with.
The sun was just popping up on the horizon and made the most beautiful orange sky I have seen for quite some time. The wind was blowing and all was quiet and Judy’s melodic chanting continued in the background. I was not expecting to see angels swoop down and put a crown on my head because I am 50 years old. But I did receive EXACTLY what I needed: a slow, comfortable screw! I received the moment, another moment and then the next moment.
I was enjoying the swaying of Brenda Lee’s hind quarters rocking me from side to side. And suddenly I received her message to me: “Cynthia, you are a part of your Fabulous 5. You are the 5th one you were looking for and you have found her today. I am and always will be here to remind you of who you are. Be inspired by who you are as much as by those you surround yourself by”
In this fully connected state, I closed my eyes, and asked myself:
What am I capable of in this 2014 Year of the Horse?
If I keep myself surrounded by this hand picked group who shares the same interests and will keep me accountable, what can I accomplish?
This is the message that Brenda Lee conveyed to me. She said “look around you, you have everything you need in this herd. Unlike horses, humans can choose their herd”
“Now go out and play, create cool things and have fun!”

What a joyous feeling you must’ve had, Cynthia. Since my meeting with Brenda Lee, I’ve had many joyous feelings. She’s given me that, and I thank her for it. I feel her from afar, spiritually, and mentally. She truly is an incredible animal. I don’t think I could imagine my life with out her. She is part of my five. And she will always be. Happy trails to come for you. Kiss Brenda Lee for me. Thank you for sharing your whisperings with us. KellyAnn
Happy 50th, dear Cynthia! How blessed are you to be a part of such a “Fab 5″! I, too, am approaching a milestone next month (60!) & I find myself in deep contemplation of my “next”. Might call for a little Brenda Lee therapy! Thank you for sharing this! My best to all at HKTWH! Lori Davis
Thank you for continuing to inspire and support me with my dream and goal to “ride on the beach”.
